Key Details

Vicinity Motors has emerged as one of the more popular names in the electric bus manufacturing space. It should however be noted that the company also makes other forms of buses as well.

Earlier this month on April 2, it was announced that the company received an order of as many as 5 Grande West Vicinity electric vehicle transit buses from Tulane University. It goes without saying that it is a major development for the company and it was no surprise that the news was covered by RichTV Live.

In this regard, investors need to also note that Vicinity Motors or Grande West Transportation, as it was earlier known, has been covered extensively by RichTV in the past. Hence, investors could also consider going through the RichTV Live archives in order to take a look at some of the older videos and analyses.

The 5 buses that have been ordered by Tulane University are going to be used for linking the uptown and downtown campuses that are operated by the university. This is a project that is going to go on for three years and during this period, the staff at the university are going to collect essential data with regards to the electric buses.

Once that is completed, the University is going to share its findings with other universities and also with fleet managers in New Orleans. Hence, there is also a possibility of this deal eventually leading to new orders for Vicinity Motors in the long term.
