AgraFlora Organics International Inc. (CSE:AGRA) (OTCPK:PUFXF) (Frankfurt: PU31) is a growth-oriented, vertically integrated company focused on the international cannabis industry. Through data-driven brand-building initiatives and comprehensive R&D, the company is dedicated to providing premium quality cannabis to consumers through a stable of product lines.
Earlier today, Rich interviewed AgraFlora’s Organics Strategic Adviser, Lucas Birdsall, about some of his company’s big plans for the near future.
AgraFlora is Moving Fast
As Birdsall is currently in Europe, Rich took the opportunity to ask him about AgraFlora’s focus on that market.
“We’re a firm believer that Canada is in the bottom of the sixth inning when it comes to the cannabis market,” he says. “The United States of America is in the top of the third, but Europe—which has a populations 1.5 times that of the US—is in the top of the first.”
Specifically, Birdsall cites Germany as a major market to focus on. For example, a gram of premium cannabis sells for “about 12 to 13 euros” in Germany, making the country particularly attractive to companies like AgraFlora.
Birdsall also discusses the exciting news that his company recently received a license to grow cannabis at its gigantic, 2.2 million sq ft greenhouse complex in Delta, BC. AgraFlora is a joint venture partner in the complex with Propagation Services Canada. The facility is now the second-largest greenhouse in the world that is licensed to grow cannabis.
The company also hopes to be a first mover in edibles when they hit shelves in December and has plans to penetrate into the market for cannabis-infused beverages around the same time.
In the interview, Birdsall alludes to some big plans for the near future. Among these plans is likely to be the market launch of the True Focus line of products.
Marketed as “the official supplement for when you consume too much cannabis,” True Focus is designed to mitigate the negative side effects of excessive THC consumption. To inform customers about the forthcoming launch, AgraFlora has produced a series of short commercial vignettes featuring famed cannabis advocate Tommy Chong.
Deliverable through a pocket-sized, user-friendly spray bottle, True Focus’s all-natural, nutraceutical formulations can be dissolved under the tongue for quick relief. While the formulations are currently patent-pending, True Focus has an exclusive sub-license to develop and market them for a period of ten years.
Is It a Buy?
“I can’t think of one other cannabis company in North America that is equipped with such an amazing upstream cultivation portfolio as well as downstream assets,” says Birdsall.
Rich notes that he is a shareholder in the company, but is contemplating buying even more shares.
“At these prices—$0.36—I think it’s a steal,” he says.
